1. Another time he went into the synagogue, and a man with a shriveled hand was there.
2. Some of them looking for a  reason to accuse Jesus,
    so they watched him closely to see if he would heal him on the Sabbath.
3. Jesus said to the man with the shriveled hand,
    "Stand up in front of everyone."
4. Then Jesus asked them, "Which is lawful on the Sabbath: to do good or to do evil,
    to save life or to kill?"  But they remained silent.
5. He looked around at them in anger and, deeply distressed at their stubborn hearts, said to the man,
    "Stretch out your hand."
    He stretched it out, and his hand was completely restored.
6. Then the Pharisees went out and began to plot with the Herodians how they might kill Jesus.
7. Jesus withdrew with his disciples to the lake,
    and a large crowd from Galilee followed.
8. When they heared all he was doing, many people came to him from Judea, Jerusalem, Idumea,
and the regions across the Jordan and around Tyre and Sidon.
9. Because of the crowd he told his disciples to have a small boat ready for him,
    to keep the people from crowding him.
10. For he had healed many,  so that those with diseased were pushing forward to touch him.
11. Whenever the evil spirits saw him,
    they fell down before him and cried out, "You are the Son of God."
12. But he gave them strict orders not to tell who he was.
13. Jesus went up on a mountainside and called to him those he wanted, and they came to him.
14. He appointed twelve - designating them apostles -
that they might be with him and that he might send them out to preach
15. and to have authority to drive out demons.
16. These are twelve he appointed: Simon (to whom he gave the name PEter);
17. James son of the zebedee and his brother John
    (to them he gave the name Boanerges, which means Sons of Thunder);
18. Andrew, Philip, Batholomew, Matthew, Thomas, James son of Alphaeus, Thaddaeus, Simon the Zealot
19. and Judas Iscariot, who betrayed him.
20. Then Jesus entered a house, and again a crowd gathered,
    so that he and his disciples were not even able to eat.
21. When his family heard about this,
    they went to take charge of him, for they said, "He is out of his mind."
22. And the teachers of the law who came down from Jerusalem said,
    "He is possessed by Beelzebub! By the prince of demons he is driving out demons."
23. So Jesus called them and spoke to them in parables:
    "How can Satan drive out Satan?
24. If a kingdom is drived against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.
25. If a house is  divided against itself, that house cannot stand.
26. And if Satan opposes himself and is divided, he connot stand; his end has come.
27. In fact, no one can enter a strong man's house and carry off his possession unless he first ties up the strong man.
    Then he can rob his house.
28. I tell you the truth, all the sins and blasphemies of man will be forgiven them.
29. But whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven;
    he is guilty of an eternal sin."
30. He said this because they were saying, "He has an evil spirit."
31. Then Jesus's mother and brothers arrived.
    Standing outside, they sent someone in to call him.
32. At crowd was sitting around him, and they told him,
    "Your mother and brothers are outside looking for you."
33. "Who are my mother and my brothers?" he asked.
34. Then he looked at those seated in a circle around him and said,
    "Here are my mother and my brothers!
35. Whoever does God's will is my brother and sister and mother."



안식일에 대한 예수님의 가르침은 계속된다.
안식일의 율법은 이미 하나님의 가르침을 떠나
사람들의 굴레로 변해 있었기 때문이고
안식일의 주인이신 예수님이 당신의 날을 온전케 하시기를 쉴 수 없었기 때문이리라.
그러나 아이러니하게도
예수님의 가름침과 병고침을 인해서
바리새인들과 헤롯당은 예수님을 죽이기로 작정하고 있다는 것이다.
그것도 단지 안식일에 병자를 낫게 했다는 이유로....

그들은 예수님에 의해서
그들의 권위를 지켜주는 율법이 무너지는 것을 더이상 볼 수 없었기 때문일것이다.
참으로 정치적인 판단이 아닐 수 없다.
사람들은 그 원래의 의미나 가치를 생각하지 않고
그 가치와 의미가 주는 권위에 의존해서 자기를 지키고자한다.
그러다가 권위에 돈전하는 무엇인가를 발견하면
단호하게 그 사람을 혹은 무엇을 제거하려고 한다.
그 도전이 얼마나 정당한지
혹은 그 도전이 권위의 본래의 의미를 세우고자 함인지에 대해서는 관심이 없다.
바로 이것이 현재의 정치이며
현재 우리가 살아가는 세상이 가지고 있는 옹졸함이다.

나는 과연 어떠한가?
말씀을 전하는 사람으로
하나님의 말씀을 공부하고 가르치는 사람으로
하나님의 말씀이 말씀되게 하는 일을 하고 있는가?
그 권위에 편승하여 나의 삶을 살아가려고 하지는 않는가?
하나님의 말씀이 아니라
나의 판단과 자리를 위해서
나의 편의와 편안을 위해서
하나님의 말씀을 곡해하고 있지는 않는가?
참으로 무섭고 떨리는 마음으로 나를 돌아보며
하나님의 말슴에 주목하여야 할 것이다.
더욱이 이것이 개인의 문제가 아니라 사회와 세대의 문제일 겻우에 우리는 더욱 쉽게 실패할 것이니 말이다.


또 한가지
예수님은 당시에 어마어마한 사람들을 몰고 다니셨다
사람들은 예수님의 가르침과 병고침에 의해서
예수님을 믿고 따르기를 마지 않았던 것이다.
그 가운데 예수님은 그들을 보며 수많은 연민을 느끼셨다
그들의 배고픔에
그들의 영적이 기갈과 아픔을 보면서.....
예수님은 가능하며 그들의 갈증을 해소해 주시기 위해 노력하셨고
그것은 참으로 지치고 힘겨운 일들이었으리라.

우리는
지금의 세상에서도
여전히 말씀에 주려하고
영적인 기갈에 목말라 하는 이들을 만난다.

어디에서 무슨일이 있다더라
어느 집회에 갔더니 은혜가 있다더라
어느 교회 갔더니 뜨겁더라
어던 기도원은 정말 성령이 충만하다더라
그들은 이런 소문을 좇아 그곳을 향해가고
그 집회에서 시키는 것을 따라한다

하나님은 온 세상에 충만하시고
성령님은 우리의 기도를 어느곳에서나 들으시는 분이신 것을
내 집 골방에서 부르짖는 소리를 하나님은 더 기뻐하실 터...
누군가에 의해서
무엇인가에 의해서
나의 신앙과 영정을 불태울 수 있기를 바라는 것은
게으름이며
나태함일 뿐이다.
그곳에 참석만 하면 내가 성령 충만해 진다면
얼나마 간단하고 쉬운지
그곳에서 기도하면 더 하나님이 잘 들으신다면
그또한 얼마나 간편한 일인지
그러나 분명한 것은 하나님은 특별한 장소와 특별한 사람을 만드시지 않으신다는 것이다.


하나님의 말씀은 늘 언제나 같은 모습으로 우리에게 주어지며
하나님의 은혜는 언제나 우리에게 충만하다.
때로는 우리가 그 하나님의 말씀을 더 잘 알아 들을 수 있도록
잘 도우시는 분들을 만날 수도 있고
더 열심히 도전하도록 자극하는 설교를 들을 수는 있을지 모른다
그러나 분명한 것은
그것은 작은 도움이며
그 이후에는 스스로의 문제라는 것이다
기도와 말씀을 통해서 하나님과 친밀하기를 노력하는 것은
전적으로 개인의문제이며
이것을 위해 노력하는 것은 개인과 하나님 일대일의 문제라는 것이다.

더이상 어리석지 말기를 바란다.
나를 채우기 위해 평생을 애쓰다가
하나님이 너 뭐했느냐 물으신다면
무어라 대답한단 말인가?


예수님이 그 어머니와 형제들에게 하신 말씀은 나를 아프게 한다.
"누가 내 어머니이고 내 형제냐?"
예수님은 어머님을 사랑하셨고 형제들을 사랑하셨다.
그러나 예수님은 세상을 구속하시기 위한 사역을 하시는 하나님의 아들이셨다.
하나님의 아들 예수님에게
육체의 어머니와 형제는 다른 연약한 이들과 다를 것이 없다.
온 세상의 약하고 부족한 이들
죄 가운데서 죽음에 신음하는 그 모든 이들이 하나님의 자녀이고 피조물인 것이다.
그들을 향해서 이렇게 말씀하신다.
"누구든지 하나님의 뜻대로 행하는 자라야 나의 현제요 어머니이다"


하나님의 자녀됨은
그의 뜻대로 행하는 것에서 기인한다.
물론 하나님의 뜻대로 행함은
나의 의지로가 아니라 하나님의 선물인 성령을 인하여 하는 것이지만....

하나님의 자녀로 사는 한해이기를.....
